Can I Help ?

to bring aid to a poor country.

  Maybe you will have a suggestion that will help bring low cost solar to some poor people

  1. China

  I have worked very hard on China. The people who would be greatly help by your projects, need the schooling

  and understanding. ie the poor people.

  The rich coastal area are using solar. So I am starting on a poor primary school.

I am sending some solar flashlights because there is no electricity and they cut wood or natural vegetation for cooking, candles for lighting. The children walk 1- 2 hours each way to and from school. On muddy roads where if they are thirsty, drink from the next mud hole.

There will be 310 students in this school. The trouble I face is sad, there is no one address that I can send the shipment to. I am still asking if I can have a person's name to be responsible for the shipment. There is no post office in the nearby villages, all mail wait at the closest big village and a parcel would easily be broken into. Also the person that brings back the mail could be anyone. Sounds familiar?

You see I am helping to rebuild a very dilapidated school through a charity, so there will be no one from the school there, except workmen this summer.

But no matter how bad it makes me look (as I am badgering everyone) I am going to keep at it. I am also thinking of sending a DIY solar cooker. Have you think of diversifying? I know many have it in Africa, but maybe the small villages can use one.

Your kit I have found the best place to send it to. Mongolia. But they have very few English speaking person there and they are paying a lot for electricity.
