Wood-burning Stoves

It has become apparent that most wood-burning  stoves used in developing countries are very 'inefficient'!

That means that they produce a great amount of smoke that has two serious effects:

1. It produces many serious lung diseases in the families of the users.

2. The black smoke produced by millions of stoves considerably increases global warming. (Ask us for references)

This being so we have carried out experiments on stove insulation and am arranging that similar work is carried out in Africa.

If you know someone who might be useful in this field do let us know!

We also supply information on solar cookers - see page - but these do not work well at all times and places
